Week 7 : Research Design


For early step of conducting research proposal in chapter 3 which is research methodology, research design is the most highlighted issues as it shows how the research will be conduct and to obtain the research outcome in meeting the the objective of the study. 

The research design is mainly provided the clear framework on how the study will be manage. It become the approach as it will find the most relevant information for the study. A very significant decision in research design process is the choice to be made regarding research approach since it determines how relevant information for a study will be obtained; however, the research design process involves many interrelated decisions. This design offers to the researchers a profile of described relevant aspects of the phenomena of interest from an individual, organizational, and industry-oriented perspective.

Thus, for my research proposal, i am planning to conduct a survey using questionnaire. Using questionnaire is under the quantitative. I am planning to construct my own structured questionnaire and I do aware that conducting own questionnaire need to conduct the pilot test on minimum 30 people in order to get the best questionnaires for my study. This courage due to no specific or questionnaire based on my study regarding the knowledge of the OSH literacy in school as OSH field is actually a wide field that need to be explore on what sided that I should focus.  I believed, this helped in analyzing the response obtained on how it affects the workplace safety and health.

Week 5 : The Reflection of Chapter 1

The chapter 1 have been started with the the introduction of research proposal. My mind started to stuck at the research objectives. However, the research objective is not the core of the subject for the overall study. Someone ever said to me, "the maturity of a thesis is based on the research gap, not the research objectives. From the research gap, we can think how to conduct the research, finding the solutions for the research gap". It is like we want to solve the world problem. The feel of reasoning in problem statement is like, the half of the thesis's heart have been complete. By starting the chapter 1, I can find several problems that related to my study.
