This case have been open the eyes of the community and the safety officer together to enhance the level of safety among students and the school. There was another factor of accident happen related to human irresponsible to nature that effect the school students as reported in June 2019. All school in Pasir Gudang, Johor have been closed as hit by toxic fumes.

The OSH in School program first have been established by DOSH in 2013. The programme then being introduce as pilot project of corporate social responsibility in 2016 to decrease the accident happen in school by giving the awareness and education among teachers, school administrator and students. The ex-chairman of National Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Tan Sri Lee Lam Thye (N.D, 2013) noted that very little is known about `OSH In School’ programme which covers another dimension and views school as a workplace, in accordance with the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) 1994.

It is wondering that on how the school implement the safety and health knowledge to raise the awareness as the occupational safety and health is not a formal syllabus that have been include in education syllabus. Folmer (2002) state that the average person on the street is not aware of the risks. Likewise, most students, teachers, school administrators, and parents are not aware of the problem associated in school students (Folmer, 2002.) This has been support by statement from Tan Sri Lee Lam Thy (Richburg, 2011) that the OSHA standards do not cover school, farming, and recreational settings common to adolescent.
