Grab The Material

 Through the sourcing materials, of course it would help us doing our assignment at the same time enhance the understanding about the topic. Sourcing material help us to get deep into what the case study is all about. It provides us with the information to support our assignment. The source you can find from the internet, books, magazines and others. There are lots of ways for us to find the material as this century; we being provide so many things to be referred especially we have accessible too for information searching that is internet. But all we need to know whether it is reliable or not to be refer. One of the ways we can make sure it reliable is looking at the url. At the end of the url, we can see where it come from such as; .gov.my is belong to Malaysia Government, .edu for education and others.

Doing Evaluating sources, we need knowledge to get it in. We should think while reading the sources. The currency, relevant, authoritative, accurate and purposeful are something we should count in order to be critical in thinking. The CRAAP test for example is created by Librarian Molly Beestrum, Dominic and University have state about evaluating sources.

CRAAP.

1. Currency is all about the timeliness of the information; when it was posted, whether it has been update

2. Relevance is about how important the information we need. It must relate with our topic and can answer our question through thinking critically.

3. Authority; the source of information. We need to know who the author, in order to make sure the authors are the one who write the sources have capability and qualification.

4. Accuracy which include the reliability, correctness of the content. As the user of any previous case study, we should where do the information come from and the evidence that can support the information. And the content must be equal in the meaning of language and tone which has biased or emotion.

5. Purpose is something that we should know while reading the materials. This is important in order to be the existence of the reason on the information provided.

I think through the sourcing materials, we can find something valuable for our study and it should be proper finding by knowing on the reliability. And the most important, the sourcing material should be various. It helps us to find the similarity, comparison and evidence. The reliability of the content in the sourcing material is important for us to get further in the case study and for the understanding. Back to basic, we learn something to be appreciating while doing some reading assessment through the sourcing material. Whatsoever,  we should be aware on what source of material we want to be referred as long it can give us benefit to think critically.

Week 5 : The Reflection of Chapter 1

The chapter 1 have been started with the the introduction of research proposal. My mind started to stuck at the research objectives. However, the research objective is not the core of the subject for the overall study. Someone ever said to me, "the maturity of a thesis is based on the research gap, not the research objectives. From the research gap, we can think how to conduct the research, finding the solutions for the research gap". It is like we want to solve the world problem.
